I am a seventh-generation physician from the Pavangat family, the traditional family Vaidyas to the Zamorins (Samoothiri) of Calicut. I am the son of the late Pavangat Shankutty Vaidyar, a renowned Ayurvedic practitioner and former President of the Akhila Kerala Parampurya Vaidya Federation, Kozhikode, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 80.
I began my Ayurvedic practice at the age of 25 at my father’s clinic, “Pavangad Parampurya Ayurveda Ashramam.” I have also participated in the Panchakarma treatment training program conducted by STDS, a central government institution. I am a member of the (KSAPVF) Kerala Samastha Ayurveda Parampurya Vaidya Federation (an INTUC-affiliated trade union).
Milestones:
• 2012 — Started Pavanghat Ayurvedics at Gangamma Circle, Bengaluru
• 2017 — Established Pavangad Ayurvedics at Lakshmipura Cross
